Thank you for wanting to care for your Dear Ocean jewels!! Here’s some helpful tips…

Moisture, lotion + other chemicals such as hairspray can damage and tarnish jewelry so while it's lovely for us to slather on some Sun Bum and take a dip in the sea or sweat it out at the gym it's best if you leave your jewelry out of it :) Store in a dry place (sealed individually in a bag is best) and put on after your lotion + oils.

 

GOLD FILLED:

Gold fill is 100x thicker than gold plate and will last a lifetime when cared for properly. This metal is tarnish resistant so it’s sweat + saltwater safe but if needed can be cleaned with a soft polishing cloth.  
 

These metals will tarnish quicker than gold fill but their shine can easily be renewed throughout their lifetime. Just polish with a polishing cloth or leave with some patina if that's your jam!

PLATED METALS:

With the affordability of these metals also comes the tendency to tarnish and wear over time. Following the above care tips will aid in prolonging their lifespan, however, polishing cloths should not be used on these metals as they will have the opposite effect. Gently clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry with a clean towel.
