Can I cancel or change my order?

Once your order is placed you have 24 hours to change or cancel your order.

Changes requested outside of 24 hours cannot be made as your order is likely already on the workbench being made.

Do you offer custom designs?

Unfortunately, we are not taking custom orders at the moment.

If you would like a minimal adjustment to a current piece in our shop we would be happy to work with you if possible.

How do I care for my new jewelry?

What materials do you use?

All of our jewelry is made with hypo-allergenic, nickel and lead-free metals. Majority of our pieces are made with 14k gold fill, sterling silver + raw brass.

Please refer to these descriptions before checkout if you have any concerns.

In case you hadn’t noticed, we also LOVE using natural materials like shells, pearls and stones which are one-of-a-kind + perfectly imperfect – this means that there’s likely to be slight variations compared to what you see in our listing photos. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

Will my jewelry tarnish?

If you follow the care instructions closely your Dear Ocean jewelry should last wonderfully.

Our gold filled pieces should not tarnish with proper care. Sterling silver and brass can tarnish over time and when exposed to the elements.

Where is your jewelry made?

All pieces are handcrafted with lots of love in my humble home studio in Northern California.

Can I place a wholesale order?

Yes we do offer wholesale.

However we are only able to take on a limited amount of wholesale accounts at a time.

Do you gift wrap?

We don’t offer traditional gift wrapping but we do take pride in our packaging!

Each order is packaged with detail and care and comes with a stamped cloth bag, a seashell, dried florals + care instructions.

If you have a spe-shell request contact us and we’d love to help if we can!

What is 14k gold fill?

Gold filled metal is a high quality alternative to pure gold. It is a thick layer of gold fused to a base metal and is 100x thicker than gold plating.

If stored and cared for properly it is a durable and economical metal that will last you a lifetime!

What if I lost an earring?

Been there done that! :(

Just contact us right away and provide a photo of the existing earring and we will do our best to create a matching earring if possible.

Please be aware we may no longer have the supplies in stock that are required for your design.

You will be charged 50% of a full pair plus shipping.
